Situated in the foothills of the Paarl Mountain, Nelson's Creek meanders amid massive trees across the 142 hectares of the Nelson Wine Estate. Historic buildings have been lovingly restored by the Nelson family to house a beautiful yet modern cellar and conference centre. Old bush vines have been extensively replanted over the past ten years and the estate is now planted with virus-free clones of the big six: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are truly exquisite, a fact which allows the estate to boast an array of awards, including the South African champion status for its wooded Chardonnay at the South African Young Wines Show. The estate also has gold medals for its Cabernet Sauvignon.
