Website | EmailEstablished in 1907, Bovlei is the second largest co-operative winery in South Africa. For the past 80 years, it has produced some of the most palatable wines in this area. The cellar obtains its grapes from three main areas: Agter-Groenberg, Bovlei and Leeuwrivier. Grapes for Bukettraube, Savignon Blanc, Weisser Riesling and Riesling are mainly obtained from the cooler slopes of the Bovlei and Leeuwrivier areas. Meanwhile, the Cabernet Savignon, Pinotage, Cinsaut and Shiraz grapes are cultivated mainly on the warm soils of the northern slopes of Agter-Groenberg.
