Mont Rochelle was named after the French town, La Rochelle, from which three Huguenot brothers fled, and was the communal farm granted to them in 1689. Victorian charm and high technology combine to make this state-of-the-art cellar one of the most unique in the Winelands. Visitors are welcome to cellar tours and tastings in the charming old tavern, which contains relics of Franschhoek's Huguenot history. Mont Rochelle also has trail rides and horseback cellar tours.
