This is a long, broad beach stretching eight kilometres up the Atlantic coast. Noordhoek is about 25 minutes from the City Centre by car and the beautiful beach is often practically deserted. The surrounding hills are covered with indigenous vegetation, and there is no beachfront development. The beach is an ideal place for long, invigorating walks or for those seeking some solitude. This is also a great venue for a memorable horse ride. Horses can be hired from the nearby stables, which also organise sunset and champagne breakfast rides. The Red Herring Pub and Restaurant, a few minutes walk from the beach, serves delicious pizzas. These are best enjoyed sitting outside on their large wooden balcony looking out across the beach and ocean.
