Punta Este is the perfect place for beachcombing or enjoying a solitary walk along the wind swept silky sands. Unfortunately, the strong undertow makes swimming too dangerous. Mezcalitos Bar & Restaurant a popular hangout with locals serving light meals and snacks is also located here. From San Miguel head east on Avenida Benito Juarez right to the end of the road. This road will bring you directly to the beach, there are no turns to make.
