Website | EmailThe Bloomsday Festival is held annually in mid-June to commemorate James Joyce's seminal novel "Ulysses," the impetus for which took place in Ringsend on June 16th, 1904. The date is marked in Dublin with events throughout the city. The main focus of the day is the James Joyce Centre, a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse which has become a successful research center. Readings, film screenings, concerts, and more take place throughout the week, and there is even a “historic” Irish Breakfast at the center - complete with rashers and a pint of Guinness! Although it helps if you have an interest in things Joycean, don't worry, Bloomsday is for everybody.
