If you look eastwards from anywhere in Dublin you will more than likely see the two striped red and white towers of the generating station at Irishtown. Redeeming this industrial landscape is a small nature reserve to the south of the power plant. The low-lying coast here is an important stopover for migrating birds and many species can be seen at this little-visited reserve.
