Website | EmailFounded in 1987, this memorial documents the persecution of Jews, communists and gypsies in Dusseldorf during the Nazi era. The building in the old town used to be a prison for political prisoners before being taken over by the German Army in 1934. As well as hosting temoprary exhibitions on a variety of topics, the memorial contains a permanent exhibition entitled Persecution and Resistance in Düsseldorf, 1933-45.
