WebsiteBuilt in 1998, the Stadttor or City Gate is perhaps Dusseldorf's finest example of contemporary architecture. Towering 80m over the harbour and media district, the glass building houses numerous offices, media centres and lawyers' practices. The huge, round steel columns have been intentionally left visible, and the design has won several awards.
