WebsitePrinces Street Gardens, right in the centre of Edinburgh, is the location of a number of delightful holiday diversions, including the UK's largest open-air ice rink for a few weeks each winter. Situated in the shadow of the stunning Edinburgh Castle, the huge rink plays host to professional ice skaters, curling tournaments and ice hockey competitions as well as general public skating. The rink is decorated with lights and alongside are stalls selling food and drink to complement the winter atmosphere.
