With fifty-one spinets, harpsichords, virginals, organs, clavichords and early pianos, this exhibition strikes the perfect note for musos and knowledge-seekers. The beautiful instruments, which date from the 16th century, are occasionally played in the hall, Scotland's first purpose-built concert venue. Otherwise, the hall is often filled with music from other sources.
