Website | EmailRenowned for excellence, The Atrium has certainly made its culinary mark on Edinburgh. The decor lands somewhere between African rusticity and minimalist chic. Rough-hewn tables and autumnal colours are presented with a simple elegance which works very well. The cuisine is inventive, drawing particularly on Mediterranean and Scottish influences, all wrapped up in contemporary sophistication. There is an emphasis on fish and vegetables, and a love of hybrid dishes - traditional Scottish foods are given a modern twist. Of particular note is the extensive and well-thought-out wine list, including many varieties which are available by the glass. There are also pages dedicated to sherries and ports. This is a great dining experience.
