Set in the middle of the access-friendly Gyle shopping centre, MacKays is completely stuffed full of bargain rails of clothes for your child. Take a look through reasonably priced, bright and practical outfits for all children right up to teenagers. There's a respectful nod to what's fashionable too, so there should be something to please the most difficult pre-teen. Take the pushchair in on principle and stock up on lots of cheap basics. On the downside, in some areas (the newborn section for example), the choice is quite limited, but the sizing in all items is pretty generous - leaving plenty of growing room!
