Website | EmailEdmonton's folk festival is one of the biggest in the world, averaging 20,000 spectators daily. Tickets go on sale in June and past performers included the traditional folk balladry of Sarah Harmer, Ron Sexsmith and Kate and Anna McGarrigle, the madcap Cape Breton fiddling of Ashley MacIssac, and the frenetic Latin rhythms of Los Lobos. Gallagher Park is just across the river from the downtown district; parking and shuttles are available at the University of Alberta.
