Website | EmailThe Spoleto festival began in 1958 from a project by Gian Carlo Menotti. It is an internationally important show. The aim of the creator was to create a meeting point between Italian, European, and American culture. Today the Spoleto Festival offers an artistic scene made of high quality performances. The concerts, the prose, the dance, and the lyrics are the supporting pillars of this event which takes place during the end of June and the beginning of July. Art exhibitions and films inside the Spoletocinema exhibition compete to increase the cultural and artistic patrimony of the event. And there is more! Spoletoscienza organizes meetings and debates which are open to the public with the participation of real authorities in the field of science, some of whom have received Nobel prizes.
