Website | EmailOne of the most famous opera composers of all time, the works of Giacomo Puccini are brought to life every summer in the tiny Tuscan town of Torre del Lago, just four kilometers from Viareggio on the Tuscan Riviera and only a hours drive from Florence. The modern open-air theater takes advantage of the natural beauty of the lake as its backdrop, setting the stage for Puccini's great works such as Madame Butterfly and La Boheme, as well as some of his lesser known pieces. Drawing nearly 40,000 spectators every year, this world famous festival will delight opera buffs and novices alike. Tickets range from EUR 33 to EUR 160.
