Website | EmailThe Giardino dell'Iris is a botanical garden that specializes in the beautiful Iris flower species, which is the symbol of Florence. The garden has been open to the public since 1954 and is owned by the Società italiana dell'Iris. An annual competition International Iris Show is held here where around 1500 species of the iris flowers are displayed. A serene pond in the garden with a thriving aquatic life is an added attraction. The botanical gardens provide a scenic view of historic Florence and the surrounding areas.
