80 George Square
Glasgow, G2 1DH
Nearest Train: Buchanan Street
WebsiteFun for all the family and it's completely free! This annual procession is part of the city's midsummer celebrations and is always a great day out, even when it rains. Starting at midday in Blythwood Square, the Lord Provost and a cavalcade of 40 colourful floats, flanked by street entertainers, make their way along West George Street, down Union Street past Central Station, then battle through the throngs of Saturday shoppers on Argyle Street to reach their final destination, namely George Square. The party rages in Glasgow's very own Red Square until early evening with a variety of live bands and lots of dancing.
