Website | EmailBuilt on the site of the Battle of Langside (1568), the queen honored in the name of this park is Mary Queen of Scots rather than Victoria, who usually takes the plaudits. The park is Victorian nonetheless and a fine example at that. Especially impressive is the North Gate, which seems to claim the great Victoria Road as a driveway into the park. Seven red ash football pitches, bowling and tennis facilities are available should you feel energetic after a picnic. Glasgow's only specially designed skateboarding park can also be found here.
