However, despite the veneer of sophistication, the atmosphere is always lively. There's no such thing as a quiet night here—it's always packed so remember to book. This is one of the more expensive Chinese restaurants in town but it's worth paying a little extra for such a high standard of culinary excellence. They specialise in seafood dishes but also create imaginative recipes like sliced venison in mandarin sauce and something slightly odder involving ostrich. The restaurant merits a mention in several good food guides but if you're on a budget, call in from 5:30p-7p and check out their special pre-theatre deals.
