The heart of the city center is possibly the least likely place you would expect to find an establishment such as this. Right beside the sprawling St Enoch Centre hides this cosy country cafe, thrown together in a cute ye-olde style with a random array of tables, chairs and pictures of times gone by. The specialty here is amazing home-baking, with huge nutty meringues that melt in the mouth and possibly the best apple pie in Glasgow. There are a few fish options on the menu but mostly it's vegetarian or vegan hot and cold meals with a good salad bar on the side. Everything is tasty and filling, with imaginative variations on the veggie burger proving particularly popular.
