Axiom is relatively new but it comes complete with a perfect pedigree. The owners are behind Ayrshire's lovely Castle View and The Waterside Inn so expect a touch of class, although the exterior and decor are not exactly promising. The cuisine is mainly Scottish and the dishes tend to be both original and delicious, the menu is extensive and extremely flexible. It's perfectly situated for a bite to eat before a show at the SECC or a film at the Quay.
