Website | EmailFrasers is an institution which shows a Glasgow both traditional and modern. Although this chain can now be found in cities across the UK, it was founded here in 1849. It houses European designer clothes as well as upmarket Scottish tweeds and tartans. The interior is splendidly ornate, with a grand staircase leading to the other floors and balconies. The store is huge, lavish and designed like a maze, so it's even easier than usual to lose yourself in the joy of shopping. The ground floor is devoted to menswear (both classic and contemporary), shoes, upmarket cosmetics concessions (including MAC, Bobbi Brown, Aveda and Philosophy) and accessories. Three more floors house collections of designer wear and high street gear for women and children, high quality furniture, a cappuccino bar and a restaurant.
