This beach is, together with La Garita, the favourite leisure spot of the people of Telde. It's 600 metres long, with black sand, and it has an attractive promenade, a play area, a spa, and shops by the beach. Next to Melenara is Taliarte dock, around which most fishermen of Telde live and where numerous boats are moored. The municipal winsurfing school is also housed here.
