Nothing could be better after a nice day at the beach, then a stroll down Avenida de Las Canteras and a visit to the Peña la Vieja ice-cream parlour. It has become a must for everyone. Try their now famous helado de gofio, their own invention which has now been copied all over the island. Another good option is the delicias de la Peña la Vieja, which consists of enormous chocolate bonbons filled with different flavours of ice-cream. You might even try the so-called espumas de helado (ice-cream foam), definitely not to be missed.
