The tall, twin 17th-century bell towers mark out this parish church from all the surrounding buildings down by the banks of the river Genil. Come in late September and you'll see how the parishioners cover the façade in a beautiful display of flowers. Granada's patron saint, la Virgen de las Angustias, is worshipped here. Note the baroque façade with its Corinthian columns and vaulted niche holding the Virgin Mary embracing the body of Christ. The 18th-century altarpiece, made of marble, features the first example of Churrigueresque style to reach the city.
