EmailThis was the city's Jewish quarter before their expulsion by the incoming Christians during the late 15th century. The pretty Campo del Principe is the main square and it has many restaurants with outdoor terraces and a relaxed atmosphere. This is the sort of district where residents hang around their doorsteps chatting with their neighbours. You'll see lots of young foreigners in the bars and Internet cafés, as this is where the university's language faculty is located. Climb the hill towards the enormous Hotel Alhambra Palace and just beyond it you'll find the house where the famous musician Manuel de Falla lived and worked. Keep going uphill to visit the charming Carmen de los Mártires.
