Website | EmailIf you feel like a break from the city streets, head for this pretty walk in the countryside just below the Alhambra. It starts from the far end of Paseo de los Tristes, so it doesn't take long to get here from the centre. You could even take a mule ride out to the fountains that are the ultimate destination. There are three of them: Avellano, Orilla and Salud. The latter is believed to carry water with curative powers and many famous Spanish personalities have walked along here to drink from the legendary fountains. There's a little side-path that connects this area to the lower part of the Generalife Gardens.
