Where hearty portions of meat from northern Spain are concerned, you won't get it much better than here. Don't be put off by the manager's brusque manner, that's just the way he is. You'll enjoy the exposed brick and aged wood décor, reminiscent of a 17th-century Castilian tavern. The discreet curtains covering half the windows will protect you from the prying eyes of passers-by. There is a private dining room with six or seven tables upstairs.
