Staying here is like going to visit your grandparents. The furniture in the bedrooms and common rooms dates from the 1950s. Everything is delightfully and unashamedly old-fashioned and personal. It's by no means luxurious, but it is comfortable and economical. You'll find the owner chatting with her friends over tea in the lounge. When she hears the bell that announces your entry she'll eventually make her way to deal with you at the reception desk. It's on the fourth floor of an impressive apartment block in a nice, quiet central area just above the square dedicated to local heroine, Mariana Pineda. There's no restaurant or café here but there are lots nearby. The prices do not include 7% service tax (VAT) and vary depending on the season.
