This 1.5-hour journey takes you out to a coral reef where you can observe marine life through a glassed-in "observatory." The craft never submerges. The observatory is actually the hull of the ship, five feet below the surface. It's a great way to see underwater life without actually getting wet. The craft was originally designed as a research vessel for use on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The tour, operated by a major Caribbean tour provider, is run locally through Superior Watersports.
