This waterfront stretch is popular among native Bahamians and tourists. The west side of the area is home to the settlement while the east side of the beach is filled with water activities, such as banana boat rides, jet skis and snorkeling. It is not uncommon to see wild horses trotting along the sand. Traveller's Rest is a bar and restaurant convenient to the beach and often frequented by locals and visitors—a great way to see the real lifestyle of Grand Bahama Island.
