One of the most popular diving attractions for viewing aquatic life is the Etheridge Wreck. Before its sinking in 1992, the Etheridge operated as a car ferry from South Carolina. The vessel also gained fame from its appearance in the horror-thriller Halloween. Today, a magnificent spattering of coral heads surrounding the wreck attracts a diverse group of creatures. Schools of silversides, schoolmaster snappers and grouper make their homes in and around the wreck. Contact UNXESO or the Grand Bahama Tourism Board for diving charters and additional info. Tour times vary by operator.
