Website | EmailCat Island, one of the collectively-known Out Islands in the Bahamas, is "the" place if you are looking for seclusion, peace, and panorama. Its star attraction is scenic Greenwood Beach, which is sprawled over eight miles of its coastline. Mt. Alvernia, the highest peak in the whole of the Bahamas, is also here on Cat Island. The island's major claim to fame, however, is the cascarilla bark found here. The bark is regularly shipped to Italy, where it is utilized in the making of Campari.
