The Wild Flower Walk is held at the Rand Nature Center, a 100-acre sanctuary named after Freeport’s renowned philanthropist James H. Rand. Located only minutes from downtown, this nature park is also an education center. The Wildflower Walk follows a nature trail that winds through the park where you can see more than 130 Bahamian plants like the Whiskbroom Fern, believed to be the first plant in the world to stand upright, or Uniola grass, used to stuff mattresses. The Wildflower Walk is held the second Saturday in every month starting at 8a. Everyone is welcome.
