WebsiteThere's no big prize money and no rodeo "groupies", but this event on the last weekend of July or first weekend in August is big-time fun for both the participants and spectators. Real, live, Western working cowboys come together each year to ride the broncs, rope the calves and even brave the bulls for the glory of being considered the coolest cowpoke in the territory. This may not have the flash and panache that the pro rodeos generate, but this is a terrific way to learn more about the work that these real-life ranch hands do on a daily basis. There is also a dance at the end of the rodeo show.
