Located a quarter of a mile from the south rim, it features a two-storied motel and separate cabins. Each room has a shower and telephone. All rooms at the lodge are motel-style rooms with two queen beds, a full bath, telephone, and television. Room sizes vary somewhat between the north and south sections of the lodge. North section rooms are a little more spacious than those in the south section. The cafeteria, which features a wide array of ethnic foods, is open from 6a to 9p daily. The lodge is named for a Hopi Kachina, who legend says guards the Grand Canyon.
