At an altitude of about 1,550m, the Schöckel is the highest mountain in the area surrounding Graz. The summit can be reached on foot using one of 20 clearly signposted tracks or by a modern cable car. If the weather is clear and bright, the views are breathtaking; you will be able to see for some 150km and 360° around you. In winter, there are two ski lifts with easy beginners' slopes at affordable prices. The Schöckel is also fantastic terrain for mountain biking and para gliding.
