Unlike countless other clubs, this place is not located in St. Pauli, but inside a former railway building under the S-Bahn (local railway) at Berliner Tor. It is not the only club in the area, but the concept seems to pay and business is good. Among the regular events at the Pleasure Dome are the early morning club starting at 5a every Sunday, where the trance and techno community gets together, and the 'Salvation Club' on every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, where Hamburg's gays enjoy changing theme nights and cheerful parties.
