This 3.5-acre island in Castle Harbour off St. George's Parish has a colorful history. Built in 1612, the King's Castle battlement witnessed the only known Spanish attack on Bermuda, which was thwarted in 1614. The fort was renovated for World War II, during which it served as a lookout for the harbor. Also on the island is the Captain's House, built in 1621. It is said to be the oldest standing stone home in the Northern Hemisphere.
