Gibbet and Little Gibbet Islands lie just off Sandy's Parish. The two islands have a somewhat macabre past, but nonetheless a quite interesting one. Once the sites for burning witches at the stake and hanging criminals, the remnants of the instruments of execution can be viewed here. The twin islands are accessible only by boat. You can see the islands quite clearly from land, along the Railway Trail.
