WebsiteFor those looking for an alternative meeting point to Kröpcke clock, there is always the possibility of meeting "under the tail" - meaning by the equestrian statue of Ernst August. The statue is not of the so-called "beating prince" Ernst August, but of King Ernst August I, who after the personal union with England, became the first king of Hanover. This vital meeting point is situated directly in front of the central train-station and the surrounding square was designed in 1870 by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves.
