Website | EmailThe AWD Arena is the new name for the Niedersachsenstadion, which was built in the year 1954. Down the decades, it has been renovated and reconstructed quite a few times to keep up with the growing demands of soccer spectators. This arena is one of the major soccer grounds in Germany and is also home to the Hannover 96 club. World Cup games have been played here in 1974 and in 2006. The stadium has been witness to some fine music shows too, with Rolling Stones being one of the most popular performers here.
