The Pineapple Park in Volcano has been around a while, but this Kona hostel opened less than a year ago. The concept is the same: comfortable, inexpensive accommodations are provided nearby some of the island's best natural attractions. The West Side hostel is in Captain Cook, just one mile away from Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park. This is one of the best places on the island for snorkeling and scuba diving. The hostel is comfortable and well-equipped, with a friendly proprietress and lots of on-site activities. Play a game of pool, barbecue up some fresh fish or rent a movie at the on-site video library.
Rooms & Charges: Singles From 45. Doubles From 50.
Hotel Services: Air conditioning. Non-smoking rooms. Parking. Television.
