WebsiteSpanish moss drapes the large oak trees that fill this park on the northernmost tip of the Hilton Head Island. It is considered to be the most pristine of all the island's parks, even though its location adjacent to the airport causes considerable noise pollution. You can head down to the water at Port Royal Sound and join the locals in the popular low-tide activity of clamming, or enjoy a picnic at one of the pavilions. It is a nice getaway for nature lovers, and a glimpse of the former terrain of the island.
