WebsiteThis modern stadium is the home ground of Hiroshima's professional J-League soccer club, Sanfrecce. This odd name is a combination of Japanese and Italian, meaning "three arrows", which is symbolic of skill, strategy and physical strength. Matches are held at Big Arch in March-November in two stages with a break in June-July, mainly on Saturdays. The Yamazaki Nabisco Cup is held here too. Big Arch, which can handle crowds up to 50,000, was also host to the 12th Asian Games.
