WebsiteTrout have been raised for Tasmania's renowned fishing waters since 1864, making this the oldest trout hatchery in the southern hemisphere. Set in beautiful grounds, the six large display ponds are home to many varieties of trout and salmon. Delight in feeding the fish but watch out for the splash. In addition to the ponds there is a hatchery, and Museum of Trout Fishing. Barbecue facilities are available or there is a restaurant for those wishing to sample a trout lunch.
