Website | EmailLovers of African and tribal art will find much to admire in this gallery, located in the old 1834 Ordnance Store just down from Salamanca Place. Beautiful antique and silver jewellery from many countries is on display and available for purchase. The gallery believes this is the largest and most diverse collection of African artefacts in Australia. Hand woven textiles, stone sculptures from Zimbabwe, masks and ceremonial items all form part of the variety of items on offer. Contemporary Tasmanian art is also on show with frequently changing exhibitions.
