So named because of its industrial past, the complex is situated in the centre of Old Hobart Town in what was formerly the red light district of Wapping. Once part of a warren of mean, criss-crossing alleys with open drains running alongside the neglected and unsanitary cottages, the site has been transformed. The complex is easily identified by a 34-metre high chimney stack. There is a small Museum and Distillery Shop Shop, a restaurant and quality liquor outlet on the site.
