The spectacular Tasmanian Wilderness is listed as a World Heritage Area, one of the rare sites worldwide considered to be so valuable for their natural or historic significance that they are protected and conserved for the benefit of all nations. The Tasmanian World Heritage Area incorporates the unique, wild and extraordinarily beautiful Southwest National Park, Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, Walls of Jerusalem and Hartz Mountains National Park.
